          ——& her hands fall back to her sides, her fists uncurl, the DEFENSIVE set of her jaw relaxes at his tone ;; sarcastic, dry, FAMILIAR. the gem had caught her off guard – and so put her ON GUARD, set her onto high alert and surely set the sea somewhere to RAGING. she’d prepared for a fight – not for a voice she RECOGNIZED, from so long ago. from before FOREVER, from home, from a time when all of this could’ve been nothing one of those human dreams. an UNPLEASANT one, but a dream nonetheless.
