              surprise is evident

       on the fusion’s features. for any of the crystal
       gems to stumble upon lapis lazuli ( who was
       on the run            AWAY            from them all )
       was strange, but to stumble upon her whilst
       FUSED  was even stranger.       perhaps she
       wouldn’t recognize the larger gem? no, she
       probably would. it was OBVIOUS she was a
       fusion. maybe she could just approach her?

▌▏✤┊▸ THE CAGED BIRD SINGS. ❞ 

          A CRYSTAL GEM. which, she does not know, but a crystal gem nonetheless – or many of them, as it is. FUSIONS ARE DANGEROUS ;; she could be hiding two or even three of those rebels up her sleeve, while lapis is still ONLY HERSELF. she has memories of this fusion, vague ones – everyone had been forced to fuse at some point during the war, it was far too often the only way – but in the heat of battle people melted together ( & not just literally ). she knows she is confronted with crystal gems, and more than one. but who & how many ?? 

                                                                 there, she’s lost.
